CONN RE-SIGNED BY ARIZONA

All-Pro forward back with Sting

11/09/2006

Arizona Sting Head Coach and General Manager Bob Hamley has announced that the club has re-signed All-Star forward Craig Conn to a one-year contract.

"Craig is one of the top offensive players in our league and we're very pleased to be announcing this signing," said Hamley. "Last season he proved that he can consistently produce at an elite level and we'll definitely be looking for big things from him in 2007."

Last season Conn led the Sting in goals with 44 (second in the league behind Rochester's John Grant). The 22-year old also dished out 23 assists on the campaign to finish with 67 points. On February 3, 2006, Conn set a team record for goals and points in a game by registering eight goals, three assists and eleven points against the Colorado Mammoth. The five-foot-eleven, 200 pound forward was named a starter at the 2006 NLL All-Star Game and also won Second Team All-Pro Honors on the season. In 2005, Conn led the NLL in playoff scoring, contributing 19 points (12 goals, 7 assists) in three games as the Sting made a run to the Champion's Cup Final.

In 41 career NLL games with Arizona, Minnesota, and Vancouver, Conn has totaled 83 goals, 65 assists and 148points.
