KNIGHTHAWKS RETAIN PAIR ON OFFENSE
Mike Accursi & Scott Evans sign one-year contracts

Rochester Knighthawks General Manager Jody Gage has announced that the team re-signed forwards Scott Evans and Mike Accursi to one-year deals. The deals bring back last year's third and fourth leading scorers.Scott Evans enters his fourth season with the Knighthawks. Last season, he was third on the Knighthawks in scoring with a career-high 70 points (22 goals, 48 assists) in 16 games. With Rochester, Evans has played in 48 games and recorded 67 goals and 90 assists. He was the Knighthawks' first-round selection (fifth overall) in the 2003 NLL Entry Draft.
Mike Accursi returns for his third season with the Knighthawks and enters his 10th in the NLL. In 2006, he finished fourth on the team with 63 points (27 goals, 36 assists) in 16 games. In two seasons, he has appeared in 32 games and notched 50 goals, 84 assists and 135 loose balls. Accursi broke into the NLL with the Ontario Raiders in 1998. He then moved to Syracuse in 1999 before going to play for the Buffalo Bandits for the next five seasons (2000-04). Rochester acquired Accursi from the Minnesota Swarm on October 26, 2004, as part of a five-player, two-draft pick deal. He was originally dealt to the Swarm by the Buffalo Bandits in October of 2004. In his pro career, he has 227 goals and 224 assists in 144 games.
This weekend, the Knighthawks resume their training camp. On Saturday, November 18th, camp will run from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the facility at 557 East Ridge Road. The Knighthawks will then hold a 10:00 a.m. to noon practice on Sunday. The practices are free and open to the public. Players and coaches will be available for autographs following the workouts.
