PORTLAND DEALS SHARP TO MINNESOTA
Transition player shipped to Swarm for three draft picks

The Minnesota Swarm and Portland LumberJax completed a trade on Friday sending defenseman Ryan Sharp to Minnesota in exchange for three future entry draft picks. The trade is the second dealing between the two clubs this week and is subject to Sharp passing a physical. On Wednesday the Swarm traded forward Kelly Hall to Portland in exchange for forward Mike Hominuck.Portland traded Ryan Sharp to the Swarm for their first and second round selections in the 2007 Entry Draft and its third round selection in the 2008 Entry Draft. The Swarm also announced today that it has released forward Rory McDade.
Ryan Sharp has notched five assists and 10 penalty minutes in five games with Portland this season and ranked second on the team with 40 loose balls collected. The six-foot-one, 205-pound defenseman recorded 30 points on 16 goals and 14 assists and 42 PIM appearing in all 16 games with the LumberJax in 2006. He ranked second on the team in loose balls with 137 and participated in the 2006 NLL All-Star Game.
Portland has also signed Darren Reisig.
