Colorado signs pair, San Jose inks three

The Colorado Mammoth have signed transition player Dylan Llord and forward Jamie Ireland, both to one-year contracts.Dylan Llord was taken by Colorado in the third round (30th overall) of the 2007 Entry Draft. Dylan is the brother of 2006 first round selection Ian Llord, who was drafted by the Wings and traded to the Buffalo Bandits. Dylan, a left handed transition player, is listed at six-foot-two, 185lbs.
"Dylan is a good athlete and will be strong in transition," Mammoth general manager Steve Govett said. "He had close to 40 points last season and should help on the power play with his shot."
The Mammoth also signed forward Jamie Ireland to a one-year contract. Ireland played one season at Syracuse University after playing at Herkimer County Community College. At HCCC Ireland earned the 2004 National Junior College Athletic Association Offensive Player of the Year. The Norwalk, Connecticut native is listed at six-foot, 185 lbs.
"Ireland has great speed, maybe enough to be the fastest in the league, but he will need to adapt to the box game," Govett said.
The San Jose Stealth have signed goaltender Tyler Richards, forward Trevor Scott and transition player Andrew Recchione to one-year contracts.
Tyler Richards was drafted by the Stealth in the fourth round (46th overall) of the 2007 Entry Draft. Richards, a Coquitlam, BC native is a goaltender our of the BCLA playing for Coquitlam. Richards is listed as a six-foot-one, 190 lbs. righty.
Trevor Scott was drafted by San Jose in the fifth round (64th overall) of the 2007 Entry Draft. The six-foot-two, 220 lbs., left-handed forward joins the Stealth out of Victoria, BC.
Andrew Recchione was selected by the San Jose Stealth in the final round of the 2007 Entry Draft (78th overall). Recchione, a transition player out of the University of Massachusetts, helped UMASS to two NCAA tournament appearances in his career, including an NCAA Final Four and Championship game berth, as a junior. The Mawhah, New Jersey native is listed at five-foot-nine, 200 lbs.
