The New York Titans signed forward Jeff Ratcliffe to a one-year contract on Thursday. The 31-year-old forward, who until now spent his entire seven-year career with the Philadelphia Wings, has scored 228 goals over 107 career games."I am excited to bring Jeff to New York to be part of the Titans second season," said Titans head coach Adam Mueller. "I have coached Jeff in the past, including his rookie season when we won a Championship together in 2001. Jeff has had great success in the NLL each season he has played, scoring 43 goals in 2005. He will compliment Casey [Powell], Ryan [Boyle] and Mike [McLellan] nicely and no doubt will leave everything he has on the floor each night."
Ratcliffe, a UMBC graduate, was selected fourth overall in the 2000 Entry Draft by Philadelphia. He scored 21 goals and 25 assists to lead all rookies en route to winning a title with the Wings. Ratcliffe was named an NLL All-Star in 2004.
