LEAGUE SUSPENDS CLARK INDEFINITELY

Rock coach suspended following post-game incident on 1/11

01/17/2008

The National Lacrosse League has suspended Toronto Rock head coach Glenn Clark indefinitely, the league announced on Thursday. Clark was suspended for his role in an incident that took place following a Rock home game vs. the Minnesota Swarm on January 11 at Air Canada Centre in Toronto.

The Office of the Commissioner conducted an investigation of the incident, which included a hearing with Clark and Commissioner Jim Jennings. Upon review of the matter, the Commissioner found that Clark engaged in an altercation with Minnesota player Sean Pollock at Air Canada Centre following the game, which ended in a 17-16 overtime victory for Minnesota.

Clark is presently in his second season as head coach of the Rock. Prior to coaching, he played nine seasons in the league, from 1998-2006.
