Minnesota's Sean Pollock was named both the Overall Player and Offensive Player of the week after scoring three goals and six assists in Minnesota's 18-17 overtime win over the Rochester Knighthawks on Saturday at Blue Cross Arena. Pollock scored both the game-tying goal with 5:20 remaining in regulation to force OT, and the game-winner 6:30 into the extra period, to give the Swarm a 3-0 record for the first time in franchise history. The 25-year-old right-hander has five goals and seven assists in three games this season.Philadelphia's Geoff Snider was named Transition Player of the Week. The 26-year-old right-hander scored two goals, scooped nine loose balls, and won 21-of-28 faceoffs in Saturday's win over Buffalo at Wachovia Center, which improved the Wings to 3-0 for the first time since 1997.
Calgary's Ryan Avery was named Defensive Player of the Week. With starter Steve Dietrich suffering from dehydration, the 25-year-old goaltender recorded 38 saves and allowed just six goals against the Portland LumberJax. He improved his career NLL record to 5-0 with the win.
New York's Jordan Hall was named Rookie of the Week. The #1 overall pick in the 2007 Entry Draft scored three first half goals as the Titans built an 8-3 halftime lead on the Toronto Rock at Air Canada Centre on Saturday. He added three assists, although the Titans lost, 14-10.
