26-year-old Andrew Lazore, a highly touted forward who has seen limited action thusfar in his NLL career, will join the Buffalo Bandits after a trade early this week.

26-year-old forward joins Bandits after brief stint with Shamrox

The Chicago Shamrox have dealt forward Andrew Lazore to the Buffalo Bandits in exchange for Buffalo's two second-round draft picks in the 2008 Entry Draft. In two games for Chicago, Lazore notched an assist and 3 loose balls. The 26-year-old right-hander previously played for Arizona (2006-2007) where he had four goals in four games.Lazore has appeared in two games for the Shamrox and has one assist on the season. The 26-year-old Akwesasne, Ontario native spent the 2006 and 2007 seasons with the Arizona Sting, where he racked up a career high five points (2 3) in three games.
The Shamrox also dealt 32-year-old Rusty Kruger to Buffalo, but he has been since released.
By trading away Kruger and Lazore, the Shamrox open up spots on the roster for defenseman Mike Hobbins and forward Cody Jacobs. Jacobs is coming off a remarkable rookie season with the Shamrox scoring 14 goals, 8 assists and scooping up 19 loose balls. Hobbins on the other hand, has caught the eye of the Shamrox coaching staff during the off-season while playing summer lacrosse in Ontario.
"We had an abundance of left and right offensive players," said Head Coach and General Manager Jamie Batley. "Getting these two draft picks for next year will help our team out."
