Cody Jacobs scores six; Roik stops 45 shots

The Chicago Shamrox defeated the Minnesota Swarm, 15-10, at Sears Centre on Saturday. Matt Roik and the Shamrox defense held the Swarm scoreless for 31-plus minutes, including the entire second and third quarters, while Cody Jacobs and the offense rattled off 10-straight goals.

Jacobs finished with a career-high six goals, while Mat Giles scored three times and Callum Crawford and Jonas Derks scored twice. Roik finished with 45 saves, improving his record to 2-1 since he was traded to Chicago.

Andy Secore, Sean Pollock, Keith Cromwell and Ryan Ward scored two goals apiece for Minnesota. Nick Patterson (36 saves, 11 goals against) was pulled in the third quarter for Kevin Croswell (11 saves, 3 goals against).

Chicago (3-7) hosts the Philadelphia Wings next Saturday at Sears Centre. Minnesota (7-4) hosts the New York Titans next Saturday at Xcel Energy Center.
