VETERAN MILLIN RE-SIGNED BY KNIGHTHAWKS

Rochester also adds rookie goaltender Van Every

08/16/2008

The Rochester Knighthawks signed forward Ken Millin and goaltender Ben Van Every to two-year contracts this week.

Millin, 33, enters his fifth season with the Knighthawks. In 2008, the 5-foot-11, 200-pound forward finished fifth on the team with 33 points (eight goals, 25 assists) and scooped 49 loose balls.

A native of Brampton, Ontario, Millin logged his best season during the 2007 campaign, recording a career-best in goals (19), assists (33) and points (52) en route to capturing his fifth NLL title and first with Rochester. He was one of seven players to appear in all 16 games for the Knighthawks.

Prior to his arrival in Rochester, Millin spent the majority of his career in Toronto, where he helped guide the team to four titles in 1999, 2000, 2002 and 2003. Millin was acquired in a five-player, two-draft trade that sent him to Rochester via Minnesota in October of 2004.

Van Every, 22, is a native of Six Nations, Ontario. The 5-foot-9, 185-pound goalkeeper was originally selected by Chicago in the fifth round of the 2007 Entry Draft.
