LEVIS SIGNS WITH EDMONTON

Rush sign free agent goaltender to two-year deal

09/30/2008

The Edmonton Rush signed free agent goaltender Chris Levis to a two-year contract this week. The 32-year-old native of Windsor, Ontario, has played the previous three seasons in Colorado, sharing duties with Gee Nash. In 2008, Levis compiled a 10.05 goals-against average along with a .789 save-percentage in over 300 minutes of action -- the second-highest total minutes of his career.

Levis joins veteran netminders Steve Dietrich and Curtis Palidwor, as well as rookie Brandon Atherton on the Rush training camp roster.

"We are excited to have Chris as part of the Rush. Chris brings experience and knowledge of what it takes to win at this level." said Rush GM/Head Coach Bob Hamley.
