Swarm GM Marty O'Neill offered updates on these matters in a recent interview posted on the team's official website, MNSwarm.com.With regards to the search for a new head coach, O'Neill said that Swarm assistant coach Mike Lines currently has the inside track.
"We are happy with Mike Lines and the players that have performed for him. Right now he's number one in the interview process", said O'Neill to Alec Schimke of MNSwarm.com. "We should make a decision soon. I've already talked to a number of other guys with experience in that position. We just wanted to step back after the Dewey Jacobs resignation, talk to the staff and players to get perspective."
O'Neill also said during the interview that faceoff specialist Travis Hill has suffered an ACL injury this summer, and is expected to miss the entire 2010 season. The Swarm GM also talked about the recent trade that sent one of the team's more popular players among fans, Ryan Ward, to Edmonton.
