Pair of veterans let go following team's 0-4 start

When a team is 0-4 and off to the worst start in franchise history, roster changes are expected and no one's job is safe. Buffalo Bandits Director of Lacrosse Operations Scott Loffler announced on Wednesday that defenseman Joe Smith and forward Kyle Clancy were added to the active roster. The team also announced it has released forwards Delby Powless and AJ Shannon. All of these transactions are pending league approval.Powless was drafted by the Bandits with the #1 overall selection in the 2004 Entry Draft. He has played his entire six-year career with the Bandits. Shannon is a veteran forward who was in his his second stint as a Bandits player.
Smith, a resident of Orchard Park, has donned the black and orange for the past two seasons. In 12 career games, Smith has posted two assists while collecting 23 loose balls.
Clancy was Buffalo's first-round selection (10th overall) in the 2009 NLL Entry Draft. He hails from Peterborough, Ontario.
The Buffalo Bandits also announced that defenseman Clay Hill has accepted the terms of a contract and was placed on the evaluation period list (two weeks).
Buffalo returns to action when they host the Minnesota Swarm on Saturday at 7:30pm ET.
