When a team is 0-4 and off to the worst start in franchise history, roster changes are expected and no one's job is safe. The team also announced it has released forwards Delby Powless and AJ Shannon. All of these transactions are pending league approval.

Smith, a resident of Orchard Park, has donned the black and orange for the past two seasons. In 12 career games, Smith has posted two assists while collecting 23 loose balls.

Clancy was Buffalo's first-round selection (10th overall) in the 2009 NLL Entry Draft. He hails from Peterborough, Ontario.

The Buffalo Bandits also announced that defenseman Clay Hill has accepted the terms of a contract and was placed on the evaluation period list (two weeks).
