BLAINE MANNING WINS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Toronto Rock forward Blaine Manning was voted Overall Player of the Week and Offensive Player of the Week in the NLL for the games of Week #5 of the season.

In two Rock wins this past weekend, he scored eight goals and nine assists for a total of 17 points. On Friday, Manning scored three goals and six assists in a 19-11 home win against Philadelphia. On Saturday, he scored five goals and three assists in a 14-10 road win at Buffalo. Manning also picked up 12 loose balls in the two games combined. The Week #5 NLL schedule consisted of games played on the weekend of February 5-6.

Orlando Titans goaltender Matt Vinc was named Defensive Player of the Week. In the Titans' 12-5 victory at Colorado, Vinc stopped 47 out of 52 of the Mammoth shots he faced in the contest. The five goals allowed set a new record for the Titans franchise as the fewest goals allowed to an opponent in one game.

The Transition Player of the Week is Peter Morgan of the Washington Stealth. Morgan scored two goals and three assists, and picked up four loose balls in the Stealth's 12-9 win over Minnesota. The win improved the Stealth to 6-0, and the lone undefeated team in the league this season.

Toronto Rock forward Stephan Leblanc was voted Rookie of the Week. In two wins for the Rock this past weekend, Leblanc had a combined 14 points on five goals and nine assists in the two games. On Friday, he had three goals and six assists in a 19-11 win against Philadelphia. On Saturday he had two goals and three assists in a 14-10 road win at Buffalo.
