Playoff Seeding Still Uncertain In The Wild West

The Saskatchewan Rush are the only franchise to have clinched a playoff berth in the National Lacrosse League with only four weeks left to play in the regular season.

That’s the only certainty as Vancouver and Calgary are in a dog fight for the third and final seed in the West. Then there’s the second place Mammoth that have a 1.5 game cushion on the Stealth. However, Colorado got 21-goals dumped on them last Saturday in a loss to Georgia. Is that a one-off or the start of a slide?

IL Indoor/NLL Staff Writer Stephen Stamp and I went over each team in the division as well as possible playoff scenarios:

Two of the three Week 15 matchups involve western clubs as Calgary hosts Buffalo followed by the Rush welcoming in Vancouver. The Mammoth are idle, which gives the Roughnecks and Stealth each a chance to close the gap on second.

Stay tuned for my East Division postseason race article next week.
