Toronto hosts Edmonton in the locally-televised exhibition this weekend

The Toronto Rock Athletic Centre (TRAC) is the site of Saturday's preseason game between the Rock and the Edmonton Rush.

The Toronto Rock host their first preseason game at the newly-built Toronto Rock Athletic Centre (TRAC) in Oakville, Ont. on Saturday, Dec. 8 at 7 p.m. against the Edmonton Rush. The state-of-the-art practice facility will be on full display this weekend as the locally-televised exhibition is open to the public free of charge. Rock captain Colin Doyle was especially impressed with the new digs when the team opened training camp last weekend.

"This is pretty special," Doyle told Richard Mauntah of the Toronto Sun. "I hope some of the guys in their first year don't think it's like this everywhere else. It's little things like having our own dressing room where we can leave our stuff. It's nice to see our logo on the door. It's our home. [Dawick] has done a tremendous job."

According to Dawick, his investment has already paid dividends in getting his players ready for the upcoming season.

"These guys have been working extremely hard," he told Mauntah. "They came into this facility and took advantage of the weight room. We met with each individual player about eight weeks ago and told them what they were up against. And they have come here in very good shape."

The game will be broadcast live on TVCogeco and Rogers TV in select regions throughout Ontario. Announcer Pete Dalliday will handle the play-by-play for the game, while former Rock defender Dan Ladouceur joins him as the color commentator.

TVCogeco in Burlington/Oakville will produce the game with several stations picking up the broadcast either live or on tape delay. Below is a list of TVCogeco and Rogers TV stations carrying the game along with Standard Definition (SD) and High Definition (HD) channel locations.
