Calgary's Geoff Snider suspended one game

The National Lacrosse League has announced a summary of discipline stemming from incidents occurring during Week #7 of the NLL regular season for games played on Feb. 15-16.

Calgary Roughnecks transition player Geoff Snider has been suspended one game stemming from an elbowing incident on Minnesota Swarm transition player Tyler Hass at the 2:04 mark of the fourth quarter of their game on Saturday, Feb. 16. Snider was ejected after being assessed an Elbowing Major penalty and Game Misconduct penalty for Two Majors in One Game (Rule 38.2), and upon league review of the incident, Snider has been assessed a Match penalty for violation of Elbowing (Rule 78.4). As per league Rule 41.2, a player who has been assessed a Match penalty will serve a one-game suspension. Snider has appealed his suspension and is eligible to play this weekend.

Snider has also been assessed a Game Misconduct penalty stemming from a fight with Toronto Rock forward Scott Evans at the 5:31 mark of the third quarter of their game on Friday, Feb. 15. Snider was ejected after being assessed a Fighting Major penalty and Instigator Minor penalty on the field, and upon league review of the incident, the Game Misconduct has been upheld for violation of Instigator (Rule 80.2).
