IL Indoor's Brian Shanahan has released his NLL Power Rankings after Week #8. The Toronto Rock remained atop the list for the fifth-straight week while the Philadelphia Wings, who were ranked last after Week #7, and the West Division-leading Washington Stealth both moved up four spots.
"There were five games in the NLL this weekend and they were anything but predictable," Shanahan writes. "Even if it’s difficult to pick the winners on any given game, usually by the midway point in the season, the Power Rankings become a little more stable."
2) Washington Stealth (5-4) (+4)
"The Stealth had a huge victory this weekend when they defeated the Calgary Roughnecks 16-14. I’m not convinced the Stealth are here to stay, but after nine games, they have the second-best record in the NLL."
5) Philadelphia Wings (4-3) (+4)
"The Wings move up four spots in the Power Rankings this weekend. A week off sure worked for the Wings, as they defeated both the Rochester Knighthawks (first time in 10 games) and the Colorado Mammoth."
