Player discipline summary: Week #9

Two players assessed game misconducts, Buffalo's head coach fined

The National Lacrosse League has announced a summary of discipline stemming from incidents occurring during Week #9 of the NLL regular season for games played on Feb. 28 through March 3.

Calgary Roughnecks forward Dane Dobbie has been assessed a Game Misconduct stemming from a boarding incident on Edmonton Rush transition player Jeremy Thompson at the 5:29 mark of the fourth quarter on Saturday, March 2. Dobbie was assessed a minor Boarding penalty on the field, and upon league review of the incident, Dobbie has been assessed a major penalty and Game Misconduct penalty for violation of Boarding (Rule 74.3).

Dobbie has also been fined for an Unsportsmanlike Conduct incident following the conclusion of the game against Edmonton. There was no call made on the field, but upon league review of the incident, Dobbie has been fined an undisclosed amount for violation of Unsportsmanlike Conduct (Rule 95.13/97).

Rochester Knighthawks defenseman Jamie Batson has been assessed a Game Misconduct for an elbowing incident on Colorado Mammoth transition player Joey Cupido at the 14:56 mark of the fourth quarter of their game on Saturday, March 2. There was no call on the field, but upon league review of the incident, Batson has been assessed a major penalty and Game Misconduct penalty for violation of Elbowing (Rule 78.3).

Buffalo Bandits head coach Darris Kilgour has been assessed a Game Misconduct penalty for a verbal abuse on officials incident following the conclusion of their overtime game against the Philadelphia Wings on Friday, March 1. Kilgour was assessed a bench minor penalty and Game Misconduct penalty on the field, and upon league review of the incident, the Game Misconduct is upheld and Kilgour has been fined an undisclosed amount for violation of Obscene and Profane Language or Gestures by Non-Playing Personnel (Rule 94.3).
