Squire Solid Against Wings

The National Lacrosse League has announced that Toronto Rock forward Kim Squire has been named the National Lacrosse League Player of the Week for games played on the Weekend of March 9th -10th.

Squire scored the game-winning goal for Toronto on Saturday night, as the Rock defeated the Philadelphia Wings 11-7 at the First Union Center. Squire collected five points on two goals and three assists (2 3=5) against the Wings.

Squire, the 5-8, 155-pound forward from Brantford, Ontario, has been a constant scoring threat for Rock all season. In 10 games, Squire has collected 46 points on 24 goals and 22 assists. (24 22=46). Squire is tied for 10th among NLL scoring leaders with teammate Colin Doyle. Squire's 24 goals lead the Rock in goal scoring this season.

In his fourth year in the NLL, Squire has appeared in 33 games for the Toronto franchise. Squire has collected 106 points on 60 goals and 46 assists in his career (60 46=106).

Other players receiving Player of the Week nominations were Troy Cordingley of the Albany Attack, Nick Trudeau of the Columbus Landsharks and Roy Colsey of the New York Saints.
