Kevin Melnyk, co-owner of the National Lacrosse League's newest franchise, will serve as the team's first Head Coach and General Manager. Melnyk will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Calgary lacrosse team.
Melnyk grew up in Calgary, where he played Junior and Senior lacrosse. He also played for Team Canada in 1986. From there, it was on to the Coquitlam Adanacs of the Western Lacrosse Association, where he played and coached.
"We look forward to bringing an exciting game to the fans of Calgary," Melnyk said. "Our team will play a run-and-gun style that will keep fans on the edge of their seats. We will work hard to become competitive immediately."
