Nll Announces Plans For 2001 Entry Draft

The 2001 National Lacrosse League Entry Draft will take place on Saturday, August 25th at 6pm Eastern Time. The Entry Draft will be held at the HSBC Arena in Buffalo, New York?home of the Buffalo Bandits.

The announcement was made today by Commissioner Jim Jennings during his monthly teleconference with the national and local media. The conference call originated from the Leagues annual Public Relations and Marketing Conference, being held at the Fernwood Resorts in Bushkill, Pennsylvania.

The Entry Draft will consist of nine rounds. The event will be the highlight of a full day of League activity. The Entry Draft Combine will be held at 1pm. The day will begin with a youth lacrosse clinic at 9am. Further details on the clinic will be released shortly.

We are looking forward to holding the 2001 Entry Draft at the HSBC Arena in Buffalo, said Jennings. Its a beautiful arena, and Buffalos location will make it easier for many of our fans to attend from other NLL cities.
