Ottawa Rebel Hires Western Scout

Johnny Mouradian, General Manager of the Ottawa Rebel is pleased to announce the hiring of Dave Pirog as the Rebel's new Head Scout for Western Canada.

Pirog, is based in Burnaby, B.C. and comes to the Rebel following assistant coaching positions with both the Victoria Shamrocks and the New Westminster Salmonbellies. As a player he spent twelve years with the Brampton Excelsiors and one with the 1987 Mann Cup Champion Brooklin Redmen of the Ontario Lacrosse Association.

In creating this position the Rebel are taking active steps towards fielding a more competitive team for the 2001-2002 season. Mr. Pirog will use his extensive knowledge of the western Canadian lacrosse system to highlight young talent and provide a feeder system for the Rebel to draw from.
