The National Lacrosse League has hired Ben DeLuca to the newly created position of Lacrosse Operations Coordinator.

A native of Rochester NY, DeLuca brings with him a wealth of knowledge in the sports industry, having worked as an Account Manager with the SFX Sports Group prior to his new appointment with the league. During his time with SFX DeLuca was responsible for client relations as well as coordination of sales efforts through the office of the president. In addition he worked with such corporate clients as Major League Baseball, Burger King and the Denver Broncos.

In addition to his work in sports, DeLuca also had a successful lacrosse career himself, after both playing and coaching on the Cornell University Lacrosse team.

"I am pleased to add Ben and his knowledge of both the sports industry as well as the game of Lacrosse to our staff, said NLL Commissioner Jim Jennings. "We will now be able to take yet another step forward in reaching our goal in becoming one of the major professional sports leagues in North America," Jennings added.

As part of his new position with the league office, DeLuca will work closely with the NLL Vice President of Lacrosse Operations Barry Powless with all player and team personnel matters.
