The Calgary Roughnecks avenged a Friday night loss to the Vancouver Ravens with a 16-15 victory in Sunday's pre-season contest in Vernon, British Columbia.
The game, which was played at the Greater Vernon Multiplex, was the site of the first-ever Okanagan Cup.
After taking a 10-8 half-time lead the Roughnecks used five goal performance in the second half to hang on for the win.
The Roughnecks were led by the efforts of forward Ben Prepchuk who tallied eight points (3-5) on the evening, while Ravens forward Kevin Hanson led all Vancouver scorers with seven points (3-4).
