Express To Meet & Greet Their New Fans This Weekend

Montreal lacrosse fans will finally get a chance to meet, literally, their newest professional sports team, the Montreal Express, of the National Lacrosse League, this Friday evening at the Claude Robillard Sports Complex.

The Express are holding an "open to the public" practice beginning at 6:00PM and admission is free with a food donation to the popular local charity group, SUN YOUTH.

The opening day roster is set and with four exhibition games under their belt, head coach, Terry Sanderson says, "the guys are itching to get to the real thing". This Friday the Express will conduct a live practice, including a scrimmage, as they make final preparations for their first game against Calgary Roughnecks, in Calgary, November 24th. The game will be broadcast on RDS TV, in Quebec and Sportsnet, nationally.

The Express will be unveiling their new game jerseys, cheerleaders, game day announcer Sebastien Goulet and, the media should be there in full force.

Molson confirmed that their T-Shirt shooting "X Patrol" vehicle will be on hand to pepper the fans with hot off the press Express t-shirts . There will be other prize giveaways and the fans will be invited onto the floor following the workout, to "meet & greet " the players.

Fans willing to test their skills can line up for a chance to score on Montreal native and Express goaltender, Alain Lalumiere. Goal scorers will win a pair of tickets to the Express home opener at the Molson Center, November 29th, 6:30pm.

Season and home opener tickets are available at the Express ticket line, 989-2820, the Molson Center box office and Admission.
