Founded by Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban and Colorado Studios President Philip Garvin, HDNet carries a 16 hour-per-day, seven days a week schedule of sports and entertainment programming, all broadcast in high definition. The NLL joins Major League Baseball, the National Hockey League and the U-S Olympic Committee in forming the current lineup of sports programming on HDNet.

"I believe our viewers will really take to the National Lacrosse League," said Cuban. "The action is fast-paced, and it will provide a unique experience in high definition television. We welcome the NLL to our new family of sports and entertainment programming on HDNet."

In addition to sports, HDNet will feature a variety of live and taped special events, concerts, documentaries, music videos and movies. HDNet is available to all DIRECTV customers at no additional monthly programming cost. DIRECTV is the nation's leading digital satellite television service provider with more than ten million customers.

"We're excited to be part of this great new venture," said Commissioner Jim Jennings. "Joining the likes of Major League Baseball, the National Hockey League and the U-S Olympic Committee will only help to increase the NLL's exposure and take us one step closer to becoming the next Major Professional Sports League."
