Toronto forward Dan Stroup recorded six points (5-1-6) to lead the Rock to a 16-11 victory over the expansion Vancouver Ravens in National Lacrosse League action this afternoon at the Air Canada Centre.
Vancouver was guided by the efforts of forward Chris Gill who picked up five points (4-1-5) on the day.
Ravens Forward Ryan O'Connor scored the Ravens first-ever franchise goal.
Rock goaltender Bob Watson recorded the win, turning away 35 of 46 Ravens shots while across the field Dwight Maetche suffered the loss in net for Vancouver, allowing 16 of Toronto's 50 shots in for goals.
With the win Toronto improves to 1-0 on the season while Vancouver drops to 0-1.
