The Buffalo Bandits have traded Chris Driscoll, Jason Clark, Phil Wetherup and Rob Kirkby to the New York Saints in exchange for Roy Colsey (left), Brad Dairon and Jonas Derks.

Colsey was co-leader in goals (with John Tavares) last season with 51. Colsey had a career high 77 points and was named first team All-Pro. The 6-0, 195 pound forward won two NCAA Championships at Syracuse University and was a three-time All-American. In 11 games this season for the Saints, Colsey has scored 36 goals and added 21 assists for 57 points.

Derks, an Oshawa, Ontario native, is in his fourth NLL season. The 5-9, 165 pound forward has scored 17 goals and 10 assists in 10 games for New York. He played in the 1992 Founders Cup Championship and led OLA Sr. B in scoring last season.

Dairon is a 6-0, 210 pound forward that is from St. Catharines, Ontario. In five games for New York, he has scored four goals and eight assists. He is in his second NLL season and played college lacrosse at Brock University in St. Catharines. Darion won the Minto Cup in 1998 with the Burnaby Lakers.

?We?ve been having some trouble putting points on the board, our defense has been solid, our goaltending solid, the only thing we need is a spark on offense, ? said Silcott. ? Hopefully, these players can provide us with that spark. Obviously we expect a lot out of Colsey. He?s a proven NLL talent and a great goal scorer. If he can continue to produce the way he has in New York we?ll turn those 1 and 2 goal losses into victories.?

The Bandits have also signed Peter Tavares to a one-year contract. Terms of the contract were not disclosed. Buffalo has a full 23-man roster with the addition of Tavares.

The Bandits will be on the road this week taking on the Columbus Landsharks at the Nationwide Arena. Game time is set for 7:30pm. The game can be heard live on radio 107.7 WNSA.

Buffalo will be home again on Friday, February 22 against the Philadelphia Wings. Face-off will be at 7:00pm.
