Shawn Williams scored seven goals to help lead the Rochester Knighthawks to a 21-16 win over the Montreal Express in front of 8,101 at the Molson Centre Sunday.
The Knighthawks (9-3) also got four goals and three assists from John Grant.
After taking a quick 3-0 lead, Rochester let Montreal get back into the game, with goals by six different players, but the Express never took a lead in the game.
Rochester, winners of their last two, slowly increased the lead, to 9-8 by the half, and to 16-11 by the end of the third, as Williams scored three times in the quarter, as did Grant.
Montreal (6-5) was led by Tracey Kelusky who scored three goals and had four assists. The Express have now lost three straight.
Knighthawks goaltender Pat O'Toole made 41 saves, while the Express' Curtis Palidwor stopped 31.
