There has been a ruling by the arbitrator regarding the suspension of Rochester Knighthawks forward Derek Malawsky, and the appeal that was filed.
The League Office had suspended Malawsky for two games and fined him an undisclosed sum for his role in an incident during the Rochester Knighthawks at Toronto Rock game on Saturday, January 26th. The PLPA appealed the suspension and fine on Malawsky's behalf.
In a ruling given by the arbitrator on Thursday, February 21st, the appeal was denied. However, the arbitrator modified the League's disciplinary action to a one-game suspension and a reduced fine.
Malawsky must serve his one-game suspension immediately. Rochester's next game is on Saturday, February 23rd, when they host the New York Saints.
