Aimé ƒaines and Ted Dowling scored fourth quarter goals to give the Montreal Express a 12-10 win over the Columbus Landsharks at Nationwide Arena Saturday night.
With the win the Express moves to 7-6, and keeps them in the playoff hunt.
The two teams remained fairly even throughout the games, but goals by Dowling, Steve Penny and Tracey Kelsuky gave the Express a 9-5 lead early in the third.
Columbus pulled to within two on goals by Spencer Martin and Brent Rothfuss, making it 9-7 at the end of three.
Todd Richard increased the Express lead with a goal 31 second into the fourth, but the Landsharks (5-8) answered with goals by Gewas Schindler, Cory Kahoun and Martin to make it 10-10 at 9:21 of the fourth.
Caines scored the go ahead goal at 10:36, and Dowling capped it at 11:52.
Curtis Palidwor made 47 saves in goal for Montreal. The Landsharks' Mike Miron played 26:35 and made 20 saves, while Chris Levis finished the game, making 19 saves.
