Nll Announces Rookie Of The Year; All Rookie Team

(New York City)-Toronto Rock forward Blaine Manning has been selected as the recipient of this years NLL Rookie of the Year award, announced today.

In just his first season of professional indoor lacrosse league competition, Manning registered 71 points while ranking tops among all Rock team members in total assists with 50.

In his first season, the 6'1 Sherwood Park, Alberta native has helped lead the Rock to their fourth consecutive NLL Champions Cup Final this Saturday in Albany. Manning was a four-time winner of the Rookie of the Week Award, and was named Rookie of the Month for March 2002.

In addition to his selection as Rookie of the Year, Manning joins the following players as members of the 2001-2002 NLL All-Rookie Team:
