(New York City)-Albany Attack goaltender Rob Blasdell has been named the NLL Goaltender of the Year, announced today.
The 6'1 Brantford, Ontario native led all NLL net minders in total saves (644), wins (13), and minutes played (954).
In addition, 'Blazer' finished second and third respectively in League save percentage (0.775) and goals against average (12.01).
Blasdell and the rest of the Albany Attack compete in their first-ever NLL Champions Cup final this Saturday night against the Toronto Rock at the Pepsi Arena with a start time of 8:15 p.m.
The League Awards are voted on by the Board of Governors and General Managers of the League's thirteen member clubs.
