The Buffalo Bandits today announce that Troy Cordingley and Randy Chrysler each have been named Assistant Coach and Frank Nielsen has been named Associate Coach.

Cordingley was a second-round draft choice of the Bandits in 1993. A native of Brampton, Ontario, Cordingley played in Buffalo from 1993 1999, scoring 96 goals, 136 assists for 232 points in 61 games. He is in the top five in six different Bandit records including third in goals (96), second in game winning goals (5) and third in hat tricks (14). After playing in Buffalo, Cordingley played in Albany for three seasons and Rochester for one before retiring because of an ankle injury.

"We are very happy to bring Troy back to Buffalo as an assistant coach,' said General Manager Kurt Silcott. 'I'm sure the fans of Buffalo remember his 'never say die' attitude as a player and Troy will bring that same dedication and resolve to the Bandits as coach of our offense."

Cordingley was the Assistant Coach of the Albany Attack last season. He also is the head coach of the Brooklin Redmen in the Ontario Lacrosse Association. The Redman lost to the Brampton Excelsiors in the OLA Major finals this season.

Randy Chrysler will get his first NLL coaching experience with the Bandits. A native of the Tuscarora Nation in Lewiston, NY, Chrysler coached Bandits Head Coach Darris Kilgour at Niagara Wheatfield High School. Other coaching experience includes head coach in the Niagara-on-the-Lake Lacrosse Association and head coach of the Wheatfield Blades Jr. B hockey team, which went to the Nationals the last three seasons. Chrysler has been playing lacrosse for the last 30 years and won the Presidents Cup in Jr. B.

"Randy is one of the most intense individuals I've ever met,' added Silcott. 'With Randy running our defense I expect our defenders to display that type of intensity in their play."

Frank Nielsen, who was the Interim Head Coach last season when Ted Sawicki resigned, has been named Associate Coach and will concentrate on scouting in Western Canada. Frank has been with the Bandits for the last three seasons.

The Bandits also named Chuck Brown, Barry Campbell and Bob Fisher scouts. The three will be working closely with the coaching staff and general manager on player personnel decisions.
