Lacrosse Comes To The Prairie

The Saskatoon Blades of the Western Hockey League have partnered with Saskatchewan Place to host an exhibition game between the Calgary Roughnecks and the Vancouver Ravens on December 21st, 2002. Face-off is scheduled for 7:00pm at Saskatchewan Place.

The event will also feature skill clinics led by the Roughnecks and Ravens in the morning and early afternoon of December 21st. The skills clinic will be made available to minor league lacrosse players throughout the province of Saskatchewan. Lacrosse in Saskatoon is growing at a steady pace. Just a year ago Saskatoon had 450 players, today the enrollment is well over 650. Saskatoon has the highest enrollment through the province, with individuals clubs in Regina, Estevan, Weyburn, Moose Jaw, Swift Current, Rosetown, Biggar, Prince Albert and Yorkton just to mention a few. Regular event ticket price is just $15 per seat. Tickets will go on-sale to the general public beginning October 7th at 11:00am. Tickets can be purchased at Saskatchewan Place or any Select-A-Seat Outlet or by calling 1-800-970-7328.
