Rochester, New York)...The Rochester Knighthawks announced today that Newstalk 950 AM WROC, a member of the Entercom Marketing Results Group, will broadcast all of the team's National Lacrosse League games live for the 2002-2003 season. The Knighthawks, who were 14-4 last season and reached the NLL semi-finals in the playoffs, will open the 2002-2003 season at The Blue Cross Arena on Saturday, December 28 at 7:35 p.m. against the New Jersey Storm.

"With our huge lacrosse following in Rochester, partnering with the Entercom Group enables the Knighthawks to reach out to even more fans," said Knighthawks President & CEO Steve Donner. "We look forward to the broadcast and marketing opportunities between the two entities."

All eight home games, as well as the eight road contests, will be carried live with a 15-minute pre-game show and an extended post-game segment.

"We are excited by this opportunity," said Michael Doyle, Vice President/General Manager of Entercom Rochester. "We see Knighthawks lacrosse as the kind of exciting, local radio that is a perfect fit for our radio station."

Craig Rybczynski (rib-ZIN-ski) will return to handle the play-by-play duties while former Knighthawk player Bill Meagher returns as the color analyst for home games.

The Entercom Marketing Results Group consists of radio stations Newstalk 950 WROC, 92.5 FM WBEE, 93.3 FM WBBF, and 98.9 FM The Buzz and is operated by Entercom Rochester, LLC.
