The Toronto Rock will miss another starter from their 2001-2002 Championship roster. Last night at Copps Coliseum Toronto Rock doctors announced that assistant captain Glenn Clark will miss 5-weeks of lacrosse action with a torn MCL in his right knee. Clark will join a list of Rock players that include Ken Millin (Knee), Ian Rubel (Broken wrist) and Kim Squire (recovering from Flesh eating disease).
Not to mention that 60-points from Dan Stroup will be missing after the veteran leader was shipped to Vancouver for a couple of draft picks in 2003 and 2004. But Rock coach is still confident in his team?s ability ?The team that we have assembled this year has guts and heart, we are 1-1 and have played 2 of the top 5 teams in the league. We just have to focus on one game at a time and stick to our game plan?.
The Rock open at home this Saturday January 11, game time is 3:30p.m at the Air Canada Centre. A near sellout crowd is anticipated by the Rock front office, 15,000 tickets have been sold to date.
