By National Lacrosse League

The Vancouver Ravens look to build on the success of their opening night victory when they host the Rochester Knighthawks on Sunday, January 12th at General Motors Place. The game is scheduled for a 2:00 p.m. local time start.

The last time the two teams met was in the wild card round of the National Lacrosse League playoffs, where the Knighthawks defeated the Ravens 11-10 in overtime.

The Ravens are coming off a successful season opener that saw them defeat the Philadelphia Wings 14-10 in front of 10,277 fans at General Motors Place. In only his third game for the Ravens, Cam Sedgwick led the scoring for Vancouver with seven points (4G, 3A). Newly acquired Dan Stroup had five points (3G, 3A), while Mike Law and Chris Prat both added five points.

The Knighthawks began their season with a loss in their home opener, 13-11 to the New Jersey Storm, ending what had been a 15-game home winning streak. The last time the Knighthawks were defeated at Blue Cross Arena was on December 30th, 2000. Pat O'Toole and John Grant were both impressive for the Knighthawks against the Storm, with each player scoring four points.

Hot on the heels of Score for Spaghetti, a promotion that saw 10,277 fans win a free spaghetti dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory, comes the Ravens Family Pack. The Ravens Family Pack offers four black section tickets, two hot dogs, two soft drinks and a medium popcorn. The retail value of this promotion is $134.00, but is being offered to fans for just $66.00 and is available at all Ticketmaster outlets or by calling 604.280.4400.
