The Ottawa Rebel of the National Lacrosse League completed a trade with the Buffalo Bandits today, acquiring former Rebel sniper Chris Konopliff along with Buffalo's first-round pick in the 2003 NLL entry draft and Buffalo's second-round pick in the 2004 NLL entry draft.

The Bandits acquire forward Lindsay Plunkett along with Ottawa's third-round pick in the 2003 NLL entry draft, and Ottawa's second-round pick in the 2004 draft.

Konopliff began his NLL career with the Rebel during the 2000-2001 season, Ottawa's first in the league. Konopliff scored 14 goals and 29 points in 11 games during his rookie season, followed by another strong campaign on offence for Ottawa during the 2001-2002 season with 28 goals and 73 points in 15 games.

The Rebel traded Konopliff and Jason Crosbie to Buffalo in September, 2002 for forward Marc Landriault, forward Kevin Howard and the 31st overall pick of the 2002 NLL entry draft (Mike Daley of Six Nations).

Plunkett, 22, scored three goals and an assist for the Rebel during the current season.

The Rebel host the Toronto Rock at the Civic Centre (Lansdowne Park) on Thursday, January 23 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale at the Rebel box office located at Gate 1 of the Civic Centre (Bank Street entrance). Anticipating a large walk-up crowd for Thursday's key game, the Rebel extended box-office hours so fans may conveniently purchase advance tickets to avoid long lineups in the hours leading up to Thursday's game.

Extended box office hours are Tuesday and Wednesday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. until the second quarter of the game.
