League Announces Return Of Scoop N?Shoot

Nick GAS Scoop n' Shoot is the name of the game-and it's coming to the home arenas of select NLL teams this season. It's for boys and girls from ages nine through fourteen. Nick GAS (Games and Sports) is a program on the Nickelodeon cable network that will provide coverage of Scoop n' Shoot throughout the season.

The Nick GAS Scoop n' Shoot team will make one visit to a team?s home arena prior to a designated home game for each team. Participants will come to the arena before the start of the evening's NLL game, accompanied by a parent or guardian.

The Nick GAS Scoop n' Shoot players will be led onto the field to play the game. The game is simple-six lacrosse balls will be placed on the floor, all within 15 feet of the goal crease.

When the whistle blows, each participant will pick up each ball with his/her lacrosse stick and shoot the ball into the goal. The idea is to shoot all six balls into the goal as quickly as possible. Each player will be timed.

The players with the best times in each age group (9-11 and 12-14) will have the will have the chance to compete at the Nick GAS Scoop 'N Shoot finals April.

Vancouver: March 16
Colorado: March 21
Ottawa: March 22
New Jersey: March 23

New York: April 12
