The Calgary Roughnecks dropped a 14-9 decision to the Columbus Landsharks on Friday night at Nationwide Arena. The game was notched at six at halftime, but Columbus came out strong in the second half to rally for the victory. Columbus continues to impress, improving to 5-1 and taking first place in the Central Division.
Calgary received two goals each from Ratcliff, Stevenson and Olson. Wulder, Phillips and Green each added a goal as well. Goaltender Matt King made his first start of the season for the 'Necks and turned aside 20 of 26 shots in the first half before giving way to Curtis Palidwor in the second half. The final shots tally was Roughnecks 38, Columbus 48. The team will get a chance to redeem itself right away, as they face the Buffalo Bandits tonight at 5:00 p.m.
