The Philadelphia Wings are encouraging all their fans to wear their pajamas this Saturday, February 1 for "The World's Largest Pajama Party" when they face the defending NLL Champion Toronto Rock at the First Union Center at 8 p.m. Fans who come to the game dressed in their PJ's will receive a $10 ticket to see the match-up between two of indoor lacrosse's greatest rivals.
Highlights from the Wing's bedtime bash will be performances by the Angels dance team in their pajamas and the new Broad Street Bash featuring a mechanical bull, live music from the band "The Blitz", and more! The Pajama Party is presented in conjunction with the Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation (GPTMC) to promote the city's winter tourism initiative.
This will be the first time that fans see former Wing Kevin Finneran in a Rock jersey since his trade for Drew Candy on December 11, 2002. Finneran, a thirteen-year veteran, leads the NLL in all-time consecutive games played (134).
Following the Broad Street Bash, fans can see the Wings battle the division leading Toronto Rock. The Wings (1-3) are coming of an exciting 13-11 win over the Colorado Mammoth in their home opener last Saturday. The Rock (4-2) are on a three game winning streak. The teams have met 11 times since 1998 with the Rock winning eight of those contests.
