Knighthawks Beat Attack In Double Overtime

Cory Bomberry's goal with 2:48 remaining in the second overtime gave the Rochester Knighthawks a 14-13 victory over the Albany Attack on Sunday afternoon at the Pepsi Arena in Albany.

Albany started the game in charge, quickly going up 3-0, however, Rochester battled back, scoring four in a row to take a 4-3 lead after one quarter. The teams battled back and forth the entire night, with nobody taking a clear lead.

Both teams had scoring opportunities in overtime, however, Pat O'Toole and Brandon Miller played well. Albany took a key penalty at the end of the first overtime period, giving Rochester good odds to win the game. The Attack killed the penalty off, however, Cory Bomberry took the outlet pass from Pat O'Toole and beat Miller to give Rochester the win.

Bomberry (3 goals, 3 assists) and John Grant (3 goals, 5 assists) led the Knighthawks scoring. Pat O'Toole made 40 saves to pick up his sencond victory over the Attack in 24 hours.

Albany was led Gary Rosyski (4 goals, 4 assists) and Mike Regan (4 goals, 1 assist). Brandon Miller got the nod in net for Albany, recording 42 saves.

Rochester improves to 4-2, while Albany drops to 2-5 on the season. The Knighthawks also beat the Attack on Saturday by a score of 12-9 to begin the home-and-home series.
