Bandits Defeat Rock, 14 8

Mike Accursi scored four goals and added one assist, leading the Buffalo Bandits to a 14-8 victory over the Toronto Rock in front of 8,414 fans at the HSBC Arena in Buffalo.

The game was close early, with the score tied 1-1 after the first quarter. However, the Bandits took control of the game in the second, taking a 5-2 lead into the half.

John Tavares was held to one goal, but added six assists for Buffalo. Steve Dietrich stopped 32 shots en route to the victory.

Toronto was led by Colin Doyle, who had three goals and two assists. Blaine Manning added one goal and four assists. Bob Watson recorded 39 saves for Toronto.

Buffalo improves to 6-1, a league best, while Toronto's five game winning streak came to an end, falling to 6-3. Both teams still lead their respective divisions.
