The Buffalo Bandits improved to 8-1 with a convincing victory over the New York Saints on Sunday afternoon. Buffalo led 5-0 early, however, the Saints came back and cut the lead to one goal in the third. The Bandits put the Saints away in the fourth, scoring five straight and shutting down the New York offense to cruise to victory.
Jonas Derks led the Bandits with five goals and added an assist, while Mark Steenhuis added two goals and three assists. Cory Quinn got the start between the pipes, recording 37 saves.
New York was led by Chris Driscoll (4g, 3a) and Chris Panos (3g, 2a). Gee Nash recorded 39 saves for the Saints.
Buffalo improves to 8-1, while New York falls to 1-7.
