The 6-3 Calgary Roughnecks head to Toronto for a first place showdown with the defending National Lacrosse League champions the Toronto Rock, Friday night at the Air Canada Centre.
Riding a four game winning streak, the Roughnecks will be looking to avenge a tough-fought 10-13 loss at the hands of the Rock on January 17 at the Pengrowth Saddledome. The loss was the first of the season for the Roughnecks and touched off a three-game losing streak.
The Roughnecks hold two games in-hand over the division leading Rock and will have captain Tracey Kelusky back in the line up, something the club didn't have in the club's first matchup.With Kelusky in the line up the Roughnecks are undefeated, posting a 6-0 mark, without number 17 on the floor the Roughnecks are 0-3.
Following the game, the Roughnecks return to Calgary for a Sunday matinee match-up with the New York Saints, 1:30pm at the Pengrowth Saddledome. The game will be the first of a pair against New York with the Roughnecks returning the favour with a road swing that will see the 'Riggers visit Philadelphia and New York later this month.
New York enters this weekends play with a league worst 1-7 record, and will visit Vancouver to take on the Ravens Friday night prior to their visit to the Saddledome.
