Gait Named Player Of The Week

Mammoth forward Gary Gait was named 'Player of the Week' after putting on a show for fans in his native British Columbia last week. The Victoria, BC native scored five goals for the Mammoth during their game at Vancouver last weekend.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Derek Malawsky (Rochester) scored two goals and added three assists (2g, 3a, 5 pts) as the Rochester Knighthawks defeated the Toronto Rock by a score of 13-10. Malawsky had one power-play goal and three loose balls.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Dwight Maetche (Vancouver) made 43 saves, 9 GA, and collected eight loose balls as the Vancouver Ravens defeated the Colorado Mammoth 14-9. Maetche recorded 21 saves in the second half.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Marc Morley (New Jersey) scored three goals and added one assists (3g, 1a, 4 pts.) as the New Jersey Storm defeated the Ottawa Rebel 16-15. Morley scored the game winner and collected four loose balls.

OVERALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Gary Gait (Colorado) scored five goals and added one assist (5g, 1a, 6 pts.) as the Colorado Mammoth lost to the Vancouver Ravens 14-9. Gait had one power-play goal, three goals in the second-half, and collected eight loose balls.
