The Rochester Knighthawks defeated the Columbus Landsharks, 11-10, in a comeback victory at the Nationwide Arena. Columbus led 5-4 at the half, but Rochester held the Landsharks to only five second-half goals en route to victory.
Derek Malawsky led Rochester with three goals and two assists, while John Grant added two goals and one assist. Pat O'Toole got the win in goal with 29 saves.
Dan Dawson scored a hat-trick and added a pair of assists for Columbus, while Kasey Beirnes scored one goal and assisted on four others. Mike Miron recorded 38 saves for the Landsharks.
Rochester improves to 10-4, clinching a wild card playoff berth. Columbus falls to 6-7, and is now in a three-way tie for 4th place in the wild card race with Albany and Colorado. The top three wild card teams advance to the playoffs.
