Scoop n' Shoot, the official youth skills competition of the National Lacrosse League, will hold its finals for United States participants on Saturday, April 12th at the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York. The event will take place during halftime of the evening's game between the New York Saints and the New Jersey Storm. Gametime is 7:30pm.
The winners of the regional Scoop n' Shoot competitions will come to New York for the Finals. Scoop n' Shoot is a lacrosse skills competition for boys and girls ages 9-14. Each of the league's eight teams in the United States will have two of their young fans representing the team at the Finals. Each NLL team held its own regional competition, and will send its local winner from the 9-11 age group, and the winner from the 12-14 age group to New York, accompanied by a parent or guardian. The participating NLL teams in Canada held regional Scoop n' Shoot contests, and determined regional champions earlier this season.
Nick GAS (Games and Sports) plans to cover the Finals and air a segment on the Scoop n' Shoot program in the near future. Broadcast dates and times will be announced as soon as they are available. Nick GAS is the official media partner of Scoop n' Shoot. For more information on Nick GAS and to find the channel in your area, please visit their official website, www.nickgas.com.
